Feed Grade: Mineral Feed Additives
1. Aquatic Feed: Widely used in high-end formulated aquatic feeds for fish, shrimp, crabs, eels, etc. Aquatic animals (especially shrimp, crabs, and stomachless fish) are highly dependent on the water solubility of phosphate fertilizers for phosphorus absorption. Calcium dihydrogen phosphate is 100% water-soluble, with an absorption rate several times that of calcium hydrogen phosphate. It significantly accelerates molting in shrimp and crabs, prevents rickets and dwarfism in fish, and greatly reduces the pollution of aquaculture water by unabsorbed phosphorus.
2. Weaning Feed for Young Animals and Broodstock Feed for Poultry: Used in formulated feeds for piglets and chicks. Due to the underdeveloped digestive system and insufficient gastric acid secretion in young animals, the acidity of calcium dihydrogen phosphate helps acidify the intestines and activate digestive enzymes, reducing diarrhea and loose stools in young animals while supplementing calcium and phosphorus.
Food Grade: Primarily used as a leavening agent (baking powder acid), dough conditioner, acidity regulator, and texture improver.
1. "Rapid-Acting Baking Acid" in the Baking Industry:This is the most commonly used rapid-acting acidic salt in baking powder, cake mixes, and cookie leavening agents. When calcium dihydrogen phosphate is mixed with baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) and water at room temperature, it rapidly releases approximately 60%-70% carbon dioxide gas, forming countless tiny air pockets in the dough or batter. When heated in the oven, the remaining gas is released, resulting in cakes, muffins, and donuts with an extremely uniform internal structure, a fluffy texture, and a crispy taste.
2. Flour and Bread Improver: In bread production, it acts as yeast feed (nutrient), enhancing yeast fermentation activity. It also adjusts the pH of the dough, increases gluten elasticity, and produces larger, chewier bread.
3. Jelly and Canning Solidifier (Quality Improver):** Used in jellies, jams, and canned vegetables (such as canned potatoes and tomatoes). It can complex with pectin in food, enhancing gel strength and preventing food from softening and collapsing during processing and transportation.
Fertilizer Grade - High Concentration Water-Soluble Phosphate Fertilizer: Widely used in various phosphorus-deficient soils and for cash crops. Due to its excellent water solubility, it is rapidly absorbed by crop roots after application to the soil, making it ideal for formulating various fully soluble water-soluble fertilizers and for mid-to-late stage topdressing. It strongly promotes root development, accelerates flower bud differentiation, and improves crop cold resistance and frost protection.
Industrial Grade
1. Plastics and Polymer Flame Retardant Reinforcing Agent: In the processing of certain specialty plastics and synthetic rubbers, it serves as a composite component of halogen-free environmentally friendly flame retardants. When heated, it promotes carbonization of the substrate surface, isolating oxygen.
2. Special Glass and Ceramic Sintering: Used as an additive in optical glass, opaque milky glass, and high-grade ceramic glazes to improve the refractive index of glass or as a flux and whitening agent during ceramic sintering.
