 Applications 

1. Flame Retardant For Textiles And Materials: Combined with boric acid it acts as a flame retardant for textiles and other materials, and it is also used as a fire retardant component in adhesive formulations.

2. Lubricant And Rubber Additive: It functions as an additive that improves the high temperature stability and performance of lubricants in demanding industrial use, and it is also applied as a rubber additive.

3. Welding Fluxes And Specialty Glass: It is a component of welding fluxes and is used in glass treatment for fluorescent lamps, where a boron source has to be delivered into the process.

4. Moisture Scavenger For Anhydrous Systems: Because it reacts with water it serves as a desiccant and dehydration agent in anhydrous systems and adhesives.
