Food Grade: Food Preservatives
1. Compliant Food Preservatives: Primarily used in pickled vegetables, fermented bean products (such as fermented bean curd and fermented black beans), and concentrated chicken essence/broth.
2. Anti-mold in Traditional Chinese Medicine and External Medications: Used to prevent mold growth during the storage of some traditional Chinese medicines.
Cosmetic Grade/Daily Chemical Grade:
1. Leave-on Skincare Products: Face creams, lotions, eye creams, essential oils, face masks, etc. Sodium dehydroacetate is highly effective against mold and yeast, preventing consumers from introducing bacteria and causing spoilage when handling face creams.
2. Rinse-off Daily Chemical Products: Shampoos, shower gels, facial cleansers, hand soaps. Provides long-term preservation protection in these high-moisture, high-nutrient (containing surfactants and plant extracts) environments.
Feed Grade: Livestock and Aquatic Feeds:
Widely added to concentrated feeds, complete compound feeds, and silage. Feeds are highly susceptible to moisture absorption and mold growth during transportation and storage, producing aflatoxin. Industrial-grade sodium dehydroacetate effectively extends feed shelf life and ensures animal safety.
Industrial Grade:
1. Paper Industry: Pulp and paper coatings are highly susceptible to bacterial growth and foul odors during storage. Adding this ingredient can kill bacteria and algae, prevent pulp deterioration, and impart some anti-mold properties to the finished paper.
2. Textiles and Leather: Used in the storage of pulps and auxiliaries for textile printing and dyeing, as well as in leather processing, to prevent natural fibers (such as cotton, linen, and genuine leather) from developing mold in humid warehouses.
3. Construction and Coatings: Used in water-based architectural coatings, adhesives, and putty powders as an in-can preservative to prevent paint from deteriorating before opening or for walls to develop mold shortly after painting.
