| Naphthalene is a raw material in pesticide production. It can be manufactured into methylenaphthol and ethylenaphthol, and can also be oxidized into phthalic anhydride, which further generates phthalimide. It can also react with chloroacetic acid to form naphthalenoic acid. It can be used as an intermediate for pesticides such as imidathion phosphine and methylenetin, herbicides such as mazhalong and diquat, plant growth regulators such as naphthalenoic acid and naphthoxyacetic acid, etc. | |||||||||
