Applications
1. Catalyst For Rigid Polyurethane And PIR Foam: Acts as a tertiary amine catalyst in rigid polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foam systems for appliance insulation, sandwich panels and spray foam, where it drives the gelling reaction and allows reactivity to be adjusted across isocyanate index and polyol variations.
2. Gelling Catalyst For Polyurethane Plastics And Textile Systems: Used as a medium activity amine gelling catalyst in polyurethane plastics and in textile and coating formulations, and supplied as a colourless liquid that can be dosed directly into the polyol component.
3. Epoxy Resin Accelerator And Powder Coating Catalyst: Applied as an accelerator in epoxy resin systems and as a catalyst in powder coating and other resin formulations, where its tertiary amine function speeds up crosslinking of the resin system.
4. Intermediate For Amine And Quaternary Ammonium Synthesis: Used as a chemical intermediate in organic synthesis, including the manufacture of quaternary ammonium compounds and amine derivatives, and as an intermediate in synthetic fibre production.
5. Acid Scavenger For Process And Fuel Systems: Functions as a medium strong base that neutralises acids to form salts, and it is applied as a scavenging amine in fuel and process systems for removing acidic species such as hydrogen sulphide.
