2. Food Acidity Regulator and Buffer: In beverage or certain dairy product processing, adding a small amount of food-grade magnesium acetate can stabilize the pH value of food, preventing unnecessary precipitation or denaturation of proteins under acidic conditions.
3. Food Processing Aid (Shaping and Coagulation): Magnesium ions act as cross-linking agents, reacting with proteins and plant colloids (such as sodium alginate and pectin) to help improve the water retention, texture, and elasticity of food.
Industrial Grade: Widely used in environmental protection, textiles, electronics, and fine chemicals.
1. Environmentally Friendly High-Grade Snow Melting Agent: Mixed with calcium acetate to form calcium magnesium acetate (CMA). This is one of the largest applications of industrial-grade magnesium acetate. 1. Because it contains no chloride ions (no salt hazard), it is completely non-corrosive and non-toxic to highway and bridge concrete, bridge steel bars, and roadside plants. Therefore, it is designated for de-icing in places where ordinary industrial salt is unsuitable, such as airport runways, viaducts, and highways.
2. Dyeing mordant and fixing agent in the printing and dyeing industry: In the textile industry, it acts as a bridge between dyes and fibers (especially cotton and wool fibers), enabling the dye to firmly bind to the fiber, significantly improving the fabric's colorfastness, wash resistance, and color brightness.
3. Organic synthesis catalyst: In the synthesis of petrochemicals or fine chemicals (such as the polymerization and esterification reactions of polyester fibers), it is used as a homogeneous catalyst or co-catalyst.
