| Laurocapram is a novel skin penetration enhancer, chemically named 1-dodecylazacycloheptan-2-one, often abbreviated as azone. At room temperature, azone is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic, and non-irritating oily, transparent liquid with lubricating properties, easy to coat, and strong penetrating power. It is also a widely used organic chemical, and its highly efficient penetration enhancer, non-toxicity, and safety have increasingly attracted attention.
