Application Scenarios:

Food Grade: Food Additive

Mainly used for color matching in the appearance of certain candies, baked goods, pet food, and health supplement capsules.

Cosmetic Grade:

1. Makeup Products: It is an indispensable base for mixing various warm-toned makeup products. Widely used in lipsticks, lip glosses, foundations, BB creams, eyeshadows, blushes, nail polishes, etc., giving products a natural and rich reddish-brown or pinkish hue.

2. Sunscreen and Skincare Color Matching: Cosmetic-grade iron oxide red is added to some base makeup and skincare products (such as BB creams) to correct the yellowish skin tone of Asians, making the makeup look more natural.

Industrial Grade:

  1. Coatings and Paints

High-end Automotive Paints and Anti-corrosion Paints: Possessing extremely strong resistance to UV aging and weathering, widely used in automotive primers, bridge and building anti-corrosion paints, marine paints, and container paints.

High-end Wood Coatings and Architectural Coatings: Used for outdoor woodwork (such as park boardwalks and outdoor furniture) and building exterior wall latex paints, maintaining color even after years of exposure to sunlight.

High-Temperature Coatings: Because iron oxide red can withstand temperatures up to 800°C, it is widely used in anti-corrosion coatings for high-temperature equipment such as boilers and chimneys.

2. Ceramics and Glass

Ceramic Glazes and Body Coloring: Iron oxide red is a traditional raw material for "red glaze" and "black glaze." Under different firing atmospheres (oxidation or reduction) and temperatures, it can give porcelain different colors ranging from iron oxide red and sky blue to antique black.

Architectural Microcrystalline Glass and Colored Glass: Used as a colorant during glass melting, it can produce optical or architectural decorative glass in shades such as reddish-brown and brown.

3. Construction, Plastics, and Rubber

Colored Building Materials: Widely used for overall coloring of colored cement, colored floor tiles, colored asphalt, artificial marble, terrazzo, and wear-resistant flooring.

Plastics and Rubber Coloring: Used for coloring thermoplastics, thermosetting plastics (such as automotive plastic parts, plastic pipes, and various toys), and rubber products (such as rubber tracks and industrial tapes). It not only provides color, but its UV resistance also helps prevent plastic aging.
