(+)-Dipentene CAS 5989-27-5

A viscous oily liquid. It has a pleasant and fresh orange aroma and should not have the smell of camphor or terpenes. Under the influence of air and moisture, it can spontaneously oxidize into carvacrol and carvacrol alcohol, thus leading to deterioration. The boiling point is 177℃, and the flash point is 46℃. It is miscible with ethanol and most non-volatile oils; it is slightly soluble in glycerin and insoluble in water and propylene glycol. Natural products exist in over 300 kinds of essential oils, especially in citrus essential oils, such as orange oil (about 90%), lemon oil, orange oil, white lemon oil, lime oil, green lemon oil, orange flower oil, orange leaf oil, sandalwood, basil oil (about 40%), dill oil, fennel oil, and coriander oil (about 60%), etc.
