1.Accelerator For Polychloroprene Rubber: N,N'-Diethylthiourea (CAS 105-55-5) is a thiourea class accelerator used in the vulcanisation of chloroprene rubber, where it works together with zinc oxide to build the crosslinked network.

2.Fast Set Up In Continuous And Hot Air Cures: The accelerator is used in EPDM, neoprene and chlorobutyl compounds, and it is selected where fast initial set up is needed in continuously cured sponge, LCM extrusion and hot air cure processes.

3.Non Discolouring Grades For Latex And Cement Systems: As a non discolouring accelerator it suits compounds where appearance has to be preserved, and it is usable in latex and cement based systems as well as dry rubber compounds.

4.Corrosion Inhibition In Metal Pickling: The compound also serves as a corrosion inhibitor in metal pickling solutions, where acid baths are used to remove scale and oxide from metal surfaces.

5.Synthesis Reagent And Stabiliser: It is used as a reagent in organic synthesis and as a stabiliser in certain formulations, giving fine chemical producers a sulfur and nitrogen containing building block for further reaction steps.
