Applications
1.Polymer And Polyol Building Block：Glutaric acid (CAS 110-94-1) is a C5 dicarboxylic acid used to build polyester polyols, polyamides, polyurethanes and polycarbonates.
2.Ester Plasticizer Intermediate：Esterification of glutaric acid gives plasticiser esters that bring flexibility and lasting handling performance to flexible plastics and other polymer systems that need a C5 dibasic acid backbone.
3.Alkyd And Polyester Resins： In resin manufacturing it works as an intermediate for polyester and alkyd resins used in coatings, adhesives and plastics, where the five carbon chain gives formulators a lever for tuning the elasticity of the cured polymer.
4.Corrosion Inhibition And Metal Treatment： Applied in metal cleaning and maintenance processes, glutaric acid and its derivatives act as corrosion inhibitors and are also used to build metal finishing compounds and industrial cleaning surfactants.
