Food Grade:
1. Food Fortifier: Added to infant formula, baby rice cereal, and weaning complementary foods. Ferrous fumarate is not prone to lipid oxidation (does not catalyze fatty acid rancidity and produce a rancid taste) even in moist milk powder or rice cereal, and does not cause food discoloration, making it a recognized ideal food iron fortifier.
2. Fortified Cereals and Snacks: Used for iron fortification in breakfast cereals, nutritional biscuits, flour, and formulated dairy beverages, enhancing nutritional value without compromising the original flavor of the food.
Feed Grade:
1. High-Grade Piglet Anemia Prevention Additive: Newborn piglets are highly susceptible to iron-deficiency anemia, leading to stunted growth or diarrhea. Feed-grade ferrous fumarate is commonly added as a highly efficient organic iron source to piglet starter feed and piglet feed. It has extremely high biological value, significantly improving the redness and shine of piglets' coat (commonly known as "red skin and shiny coat"), enhancing immunity and survival rate.
2. Complete Feed for Poultry, Livestock, and Aquatic Animals: Added to sows, laying hens, beef cattle, and high-grade aquatic feed. Adding it to sow feed reduces stillbirths and increases piglet birth weight; adding it to laying hen feed improves eggshell quality and increases iron content in egg yolks.
Industrial Grade - Specialty Coatings and Plastics Additives:
Utilizing its thermal stability and color characteristics, it is used as a light stabilizer, heat resistance modifier, or specialty colorant in the processing of certain anti-corrosion coatings, plastics, and resins.
