Industrial Grade
1. Plastics and Rubber Industry: Widely added to PVC pipes, wires and cables, plastic films, and rubber tires. It not only significantly reduces the cost of plastic raw materials as a filler but also improves the heat resistance, rigidity, dimensional stability, and tensile strength of plastic products.
2. Paper Industry: It is the most widely used filler and coating pigment in paper. Adding calcium carbonate significantly improves the whiteness, opacity, and printability of paper, and makes it smoother and softer.
3. Coatings and Building Putty: Acts as an aggregate in interior and exterior paints, latex paints, and building putty powder. It increases the hiding power of coatings and improves the hardness and abrasion resistance of the paint film.
Food Grade
1. Food Calcium Fortifier: It is the most basic calcium source additive in various calcium tablets, calcium chewable tablets, and functional foods (such as high-iron and high-calcium milk powder, calcium-fortified high-calcium biscuits, and breakfast cereals). It has a high calcium content (approximately 40%) and is inexpensive.
2. Leavening Agents and Acidity Regulators: Used as an alkaline component in compound leavening agents in baked goods (such as bread and cakes); or as an anti-caking agent and excipient in candies and chocolates.
3. Dough Improvers: Increase the shapeability of dough and improve the internal structure of baked goods.
Feed Grade:
Egg Production Enhancement for Laying Hens and Poultry: The main component of eggshells is calcium carbonate. Feed-grade calcium carbonate powder is an essential ingredient in complete feed for laying hens, directly determining the hardness and thickness of eggshells and preventing soft-shelled eggs.
Skeletal Development in Lactating Animals: Widely added to feed for dairy cows, sows, and beef cattle to promote bone development in young animals and prevent osteoporosis in adult female animals caused by milk production and farrowing.
Electronic Grade:
1. High-End Automotive Coatings and Silicone Sealants: Nano-calcium carbonate is widely used as a thixotropic agent and reinforcing agent in high-end silicone structural adhesives and anti-stone chip coatings for automotive chassis. It enables colloids to possess excellent shear-thinning properties—they are very slippery during extrusion and immediately set without collapsing after extrusion.
2. Electronic Ceramics and Functional Materials: A core high-purity precursor for manufacturing high-grade electronic ceramics such as barium titanate, piezoelectric components, and high-frequency ceramic capacitors.
