| Ultraviolet absorbers are a type of light stabilizer that can absorb a portion of the ultraviolet rays present in sunlight and fluorescent light sources, without undergoing any changes themselves. When plastics and other high-molecular materials are exposed to sunlight and fluorescence, due to the action of ultraviolet rays, they undergo an automatic oxidation reaction, resulting in the degradation of the polymer and deterioration of its appearance and mechanical properties. By adding ultraviolet absorbers, it is possible to selectively absorb this high-energy ultraviolet radiation, converting it into harmless energy that is released or consumed. | |||||||||
