| Butyl oleate is a yellow oily liquid with a slight odor. It is miscible with vegetable oil and mineral oil, soluble in alcohol but insoluble in water. Maintain the properties of the alkene bond. It reacts with concentrated sulfuric acid and then neutralizes to obtain its sodium sulfate salt [CH3(CH2)8CH(OSO3Na)(CH2)7COOC4H9]. Butyl oleate can be used as a solvent, lubricant, water repellent, plasticizer for ethyl cellulose, etc. | |||||||||
